A single mission trip to Nicaragua in 2006 created an everlasting purpose between four strangers with the common goal of demonstrating virtuous deeds to needy people in Central America. Together they formed the N.A.T.I.V.E Project. Since then their commitment and decency has provided sustainable skill sets while preserving ancient cultural traditions for many Indigenous People.Their commitment to the Humanitarianism continues today,
A ranch in Nicaragua has been established as a "Homebase" to carry out the Projects goals described in the N.A.T.I.V.E acronym; Neighborhood Agricultural Training Initiative & Vocational Experience. The ranch serves as host to the 4,600 plus Indigenous people of the region. In addition to the Indigenous people there exists over 27,000 Small Batch Farmers in need of help. They are basic farmers without the means or ability to sell their entire crop. Each year they commit the unconscionable act of throwing out the remainder of their crops. This practice of inefficient farming seldom yields profits. More often than not a farmer hopes to break even. This needless act devastates communities by suppressing sustainability and weakening the interest of future generations of farmers.
N.A.T.I.V.E COOPERATIVE is proud to announce it’s membership, alliance and commitment to a Cooperative made to assist these impoverished 27,000 Small Batch Farmers and their families. Under the product name Smoking Volcano we have exclusivity of the annual crop from it’s source to it’s end user.
